Independent contract design work
1995-present

Since 1995, I have worked fairly steadily doing graphic design, primarily for the Web, for an assortment of clients. Examples of my pro bono work can be found in my portfolio.

Fall 1998 - Spring 1999

My work-study job in college relations' office of art and printing had duties of filing photographs and negatives, assisting with layout of print jobs (mailers, posters, and the school's two periodicals), occasional spot photography, and gofering. Accomplishments of mine there include:

• devising an intuitive and sustainable system for filing the office's image collection,
• two photo credits in the school's four-color magazine, and
• creating clipart used in both the Alumnae Sampler website and print catalog.

OPERATING SYSTEMS: DOS, Win9x, Windows NT Workstation 4, Windows 2000, *NIX operating systems (primarily UNIX and IRIX, limited Linux).

HARDWARE: x86 systems, DEC Alphastation, SCSI & IDE Devices. SERVER DAEMONS - Apache and mySQL.

SOFTWARE: Win 3.x, Web browsers (Mosaic - Current), Microsoft Office 97 and Microsoft Project. Limited experience with ColdFusion Studio.

PROGRAMMING / SCRIPTING: HTML 4, CSS, CGI, and ASP application development in Win9x environments. Various experience with PHP, JavaScript, Perl, and Batch File Scripting.

GRAPHICS, DESIGN, AND MULTIMEDIA: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, web design and layout, animated banner ads, logo design, image optimization, image retouching, and general animation. Six years of graphics experience.
